Dying Into Life: The Yoga of Death, Loss and Transformation Book and Trainings
The Second Edition to Dying Into Life: The Yoga of Death Loss and Transformation and CD and its KRI Certified Specialty Training Levels 1, 2 and 3 are now available.
Death and loss are universal experiences, which we all experience in our lives. The experience of death and loss are never convenient, and everyone responds to them differently. For some, death is an ending, a tragedy, a wall of sorts; for others, it is a beginning, a door or an opportunity for tremendous personal growth and transformation. With training, we can prepare ourselves to view and respond to these transitions with more grace and inner serenity. We can also help others in their own transformative journey. Dying into Life book and course will give you such a training. The teachings used in the program come from the ancient/Eastern traditions of Kundalini Yoga for the Aquarian Age. Even though the philosophy and practices are yogic in nature (as taught by Yogi Bhajan), they can be adapted to most religious and lifestyle orientations. We will explore how life and death are experienced each moment of our lives.
Your experience will include some simple relaxing and energizing chair exercises (All of the practices in the book are done in a chair or bed but can be done on the floor as well), mindful meditation (including the use of breath, sound, the gong, and hand positions), instructor-based lectures, whole and small group discussions, and expressions through art mediums. We will also do special ancient and safe meditations and visualization to prepare for death. Preparing for death can also dramatically enhance one’s experience of living life to the fullest.
“I am so grateful for the opportunity to experience this Dying Into Life book and workshop under the guidance of Dr. JivanJoti Khalsa. They were excellent, very educational, and inspiring. I will carry with me this learning experience in my life journey and hope to share it in a healing and compassionate way with others. I think the meditations for healing one’s grief will be especially helpful. Thank you JivanJoti for your sharing, your knowledge, your selflessness and your openness.” TDLL
“This Dying Into Life book and workshop were excellent; extremely helpful to me in my work with terminal patients and in dealing with family members close to the end. It was also therapeutic for me personally, since some memories came up for me that were very painful, and it was helpful to share them in a safe and supportive environment. I appreciated learning different meditation techniques for balancing and clearing emotions.” Thank You! M
“This Dying Into Life book and course are very valuable and fill an obvious gap in the death and dying process. My experience with the typical Western way of viewing/handling a natural process that everyone must go through with loved ones and with him/herself does little to aid a person in being able to welcome or find comfort in this inevitable event. This book and course provide a beautiful alternative paradigm. I found the additional 6th Step in the Grieving Process, “Spirits Merging” to be excellent as well. Thank you!”

Besides the classes, participants are also required to be a part of a small Support Group with other participants of the training. They learn and apply the Four Phases of Awareness to teach others and help clients go through the dying process with more ease, awareness and self-care. This is a very intimate and interactive training where class times include in-depth discussions, processing and embodying the information through the lens of a Doula/Educator.
Level Three "Train the Trainer"
Level 3 Train the Trainer Program also uses a zoom format and is for graduates of DILJ Level 1 and 2 who want to be Trainers of DILJ programs. This program is currently being developed.
